If there's a holiday on the horizon, chances are our Community Outreach team will be on the go, helping the faithful celebrate those all-important days at one of our 11 cemeteries. On Saturday, May 7, that was the case when Community Outreach and the team at Assumption Cemetery in Simi Valley joined forces to Livestream a Mother's Day Rosary.
It was a fitting location for this rosary – Assumption Cemetery dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary, located amid the peaceful, rolling hills on the southwest side of Simi Valley. The service was hosted inside the cemetery's mausoleum courtyard, and along with our teams, a number of patrons and their families participated. Everyone attending was grateful for returning to in-person services after a two-year absence. For those unable to attend, the Rosary Service was made available on Assumption's Facebook page, the CatholicCM.org website, and the Archdiocesan site LACatholics.org.
On Saturday, June 18, Community Outreach will travel to Good Shepherd Cemetery in Lancaster, the host site for our Father's Day Livestream. In-person Rosaries will also take place at 11 Catholic Cemeteries throughout the Archdiocese.
