Catholic Cemeteries and Mortuaries are pleased to announce our 2025 schedule of Masses and community events. These gatherings allow families and communities to come together in prayer and reflection, fostering a sense of support and solidarity. This tradition within the Catholic Church reflects our belief in the power of prayers for the deceased and the importance of community support during times of loss. A summary of this year’s celebrations and observances is listed below; details are available on our Calendar at CatholicCM.org.
**Annual Mother's Day Rosary** Join us on Saturday, May 10, at 2 p.m. for the Annual Mother's Day Rosary. This event is a time to thank mothers and mothers-to-be, and we welcome all to participate. Rosaries will be held at all eleven Catholic cemeteries the day before Mother's Day.
**Memorial Day Mass** On Monday, May 26, at 10 a.m., attend our Memorial Day Mass at any of our eleven cemetery locations. This annual public Mass honors the brave men and women who sacrificed their lives for our country.
**Annual Fathers' Day Rosary** You are invited to honor fathers and fathers-to-be on Saturday, June 14, at 2 p.m. The Annual Fathers' Day Rosary, a special prayer service that celebrates the role of fathers in our lives, will be held at all eleven cemeteries the day before Father's Day.
**All Souls Day** Please be advised that All Souls Day falls on Sunday, November 2, and no Masses will be held at the cemetery. Parishioners are encouraged to attend Mass at their local parish. Detailed Mass schedules can be found online at masstimes.org.
**Day of the Dead Celebrations** Day of the Dead celebrations will occur at Santa Clara Cemetery Oxnard, San Fernando Mission Cemetery Mission Hills, and Calvary Cemetery Los Angeles. For dates, times, and more details, please check our webpage, catholic cm.org.
**Christmas Prayer Services of Remembrance** Our Christmas Prayer Services of Remembrance will occur in December at all cemetery and mortuary locations. Please see our website for schedules; dates and times vary by location.
**Monthly Memorial Masses** Memorial Masses are celebrated at 11 a.m. on the second Tuesday of each month in the historic Mission San Fernando Rey. Special intentions are made for those served by our Catholic Cemeteries and Mortuaries. This Mass is both public and live-streamed, and families and friends are invited and encouraged to participate in person or virtually through our Facebook pages and Catholic CM.org website, where you may also make prayer requests. Seating in the Chapel is limited, so R.S.V.P. at 213-637-7810 if you wish to attend in person.
